Arsenal are interested in signing Valencia left-back Jose Gaya, per The Mirror.
Arsene Wenger is looking to strengthen his squad by acquiring the promising youngster who has already made over 50 La Liga appearances. The 21-year-old is already one of the most discussed prospects in Europe.
Gaya, who has earned himself a regular starting position at the Mestalla, has also represented his country at youth levels from U-17’s to U-21’s.
While the January transfer market is just around the corner it does look as though Arsenal will look to bring Gaya to the Emirates in the summer.
The Gunners are looking to sure up in defence by adding Gaya to their squad. Nacho Monreal has been Arsenal’s first choice this season but the full-back is already 30-years-old and the North Londoners may be looking for a younger option.
Kieran Gibbs is still an option for Wenger however with 18-months left on his contract Arsenal are still yet to agree a new deal with the English full-back.
Gaya could link up with former Valencia teammate Shkodran Mustafi as well as fellow Spaniards Monreal, Santi Cazorla, Lucas Perez, and Hector Bellerin.
