RB Leipzig are without defenders Marvin Compper and Kyriakos Papadapoulos for this game.
Left back Bernardo is in contention for a return and Oliver Burke is pushing for a start.
Hertha Berlin have John Brooks and Sebastian Langkamp missing for the trip to Leipzig.
Vedad Ibisevic, Salomon Kalou and Valentin Stoker will be up front in a trio.
Leipzig lost for the first time this season last week in 1-0 defeat to Ingolstadt. Ironically it was Ralf Hasenhult’s former side which inflicted the damage and it meant that Leipzig were knocked off the top of the table by Bayern Munich.
Hertha are one place and six points behind Leipzig in the Bundesliga so a victory here would narrow the gap between them. Hertha have been very strong this season but have won only twice on the road, one of those victories was last week when they beat Wolfsburg 3-2.
Pal Dardai will hope that his Hertha team can take advantage of Leipzig’s wobble and head into the winter break in a strong position. Leipzig will intend to get back to winning ways especially as a trip to Bayern on Wednesday lies in wait.
Leipzig lost their first game of the season last week.
Hertha have won the only previous meeting between these two sides.
Leipzig have won their last four home games.
