Arsenal’s November curse struck again, though not as deadly as previous years, with a midweek defeat to Southampton in the EFL Cup ending the Gunners run of 19 unbeaten matches across all competitions. That is, however, the least of their concerns.
With Santi Cazorla requiring surgery that will see him out of action for three months, Arsenal still find themselves without Hector Bellerin and Mathieu Debuchy’s injury last week, less than 15 minutes into his return, leaves Arsene Wenger short for options on the right.
Arsenal’s midfield is yet to settle into a first-choice pairing after Cazorla’s absence and the time has come for Wenger to know his best XI, which he’s so far been unable to do in the opening months of the season.
Rotation will be necessary to keep everybody fresh over the hectic festive period but Arsenal can afford no slip-ups here in their first visit to the London Stadium, to face a West Ham side who are capable of causing an upset.
Arsenal need to be at their best and this XI should have enough about them to see off Slaven Bilic’s side. Hit the navigation buttons below to advance through pages!
GK: Petr Cech
Arsenal’s first-choice, Petr Cech will certainly be the man between the sticks tomorrow and he’ll need a stronger performance than what he has shown at times this season. The veteran will need a stand-out performance tomorrow, ahead of a busy period for Arsenal.
