The 28-year-old goalkeeper has lost his first-team spot in the Premier League to Lorius Karius this season but will still have opportunities in the cup competitions. He has made league appearances this season, which shows he is still valued in some capacity, and by performing well in the cup, he could give Jurgen Klopp something to think about.
