Ronaldo no longer a winger
Real Madrid 3-0 destruction of rivals Atletico strengthened their position at the top and still remain unbeaten in the league with all three goals coming from Ronaldo, who played upfront from the start and not on the left.
Zidane, and even Ronaldo himself, may now see this as his preferred position after performing so well there now for club and country in recent weeks. Despite having Benzema and Morata at his disposal, he’ll think twice about changing the Ronaldo’s position on the team sheet if he’s averaging two or more goals a game.
