Competition: Champions League Date: Wednesday 23rd November 2016 Venue: Stadio San Paolo Kick-Off: 19:45 GMT
Napoli centre-back Raul Albiol returns from injury for Wednesday’s night Champions League home clash, along with midfielder Jorginho who’s started every game in Europe for the Partenopei this season.
On the injury front, forward Manolo Gabbiadini remains a doubt for the hosts with a muscle injury; and head coach Maurizio Sarri will be opting to stick with Belgian international Dries Mertens upfront alongside the in-form Jose Callejon, both scoring a combined 13 goals.
Meanwhile, winger Andriy Yarmolenko will start for the Ukrainian outfit after returning from injury, however, defender Danilo Silva is still sidelined for the visitors having missed the last five matches with a knee injury.
Napoli look to gain top spot in Group B, when they play host to Ukraine champions Dynamo Kiev at the Stadio San Paolo on Wednesday night.
Currently, the Partenopei sits second in the group with two wins, a draw, and one loss to their name; leaving them tied on seven points with Benfica and a point ahead of third-placed Besiktas.
Victory is a must for Maurizio Sarri’s men as they bid to reach the knock-out stages of the competition and they’ll be hoping to make it back-to-back wins following their 2-1 away win over Udinese at the weekend, thanks to a Lorenzo Insigne double.
In contrast, Dynamo Kiev make the trip to Naples still in search of their first win in Europe, having picked up just one point in their last four matches in the Champions League.
Domestically, however, they have gone seven games unbeaten which include three straight victories, trailing league leaders Shakhtar Donestk by seven points.
The Ukrainian side will still be tipped as massive underdogs in midweek, but, they’ll be out for revenge against their Italian opponents with an Arkadiuz Milik brace sealing a 2-1 victory at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium back in September.
