Serie A champions Juventus are set to join the chase for Manchester United misfit Memphis Depay, according to Spanish publication Don Balon.
The 22-year-old Dutch international, who found the net twice in Holland’s 3-1 victory over Luxembourg this weekend, is set to leave Old Trafford within the next two transfer windows as he’s failed to make a positive impression at the club.
Starting just once for Jose Mourinho in all competitions this season, and accumulating just 24 minutes of Premier League action, Depay has fallen a long way since his £25m move to United from PSV Eindhoven in 2015 and the Red Devils look set to cut their losses.
Whilst Everton boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed his interest in signing his Dutch compatriot, Juventus are also looking at a move if they fail to bring James Rodriguez to Turin from Real Madrid.
Rodriguez would be a significantly more expensive signing for the Serie A giants though, and interest in his services would provide a wealth of competition, whilst Depay is a much more realistic option.
Tempting Depay to swap the Premier League for Italian football would be the biggest challenge but they would be able to offer Champions League football.
