The French striker is one of the hottest forwards in world football right now and he’d provide a boost to Manchester United’s forward line that has been missing ever since Wayne Rooney was in his prime. Whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic is top-class, he’s been inconsistent this season and isn’t an option in the long-term.
With Griezmann, Manchester United would send a real statement of intent and would have a forward figure to build their charge for success around. With Diego Simeone’s long-term future at Atletico Madrid up in the air, Griezmann could be on the move soon.
The difficult for United is the vast competition they’d face in the hunt for Griezmann and the fact they are currently unable to offer Champions League football- a situation they need to improve upon if they are to fix that next year.
