23-year-old Lukaku has hit seven goals for Everton in the Premier League this season but regularly finds his future at Goodison Park under speculation, as the Toffees cannot currently offer the Belgian striker opportunities in European competitions.
That makes keeping hold of Lukaku incredibly difficult, as the former Chelsea man certainly has the capability to shine for a Champions League side, and PSG will test Everton’s claim that Lukaku is going nowhere.
However, Lukaku himself has remained coy on speculation linking him with a move to the French capital as he stated to French TV he only gets informed of reporter interest when it becomes genuine.
“[My agent] never tells me anything. As long as there is nothing, black and white and on paper, he will not bother me with it and I respect that. That is his way of working. I know they [interested clubs] are there though.”
Whilst Lukaku is unlikely to leave in January, the chances of the Belgian leaving may increase next summer as it’s unlikely the Toffees will sneak into the top-four and they face a huge test to even secure Europa League football.
