It’s been a fantastic season for Liverpool so far, with the Reds storming to the top of the Premier League on Sunday afternoon courtesy of a 6-1 victory over Watford and also having their spot in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.
Liverpool have certainly benefitted by the absence of European football this season but the Reds’ long-term aim is to have a spot in the competition next season and the difficulty is Liverpool’s squad isn’t as competitive as it could be.
