West Ham haven’t had the start they would have liked to life at the London Stadium, as they currently sit one-point above the relegation zone with just 11 points to their name from 11 Premier League fixtures, and one news story that emerged this morning will have concerned them.
Dimitri Payet told French press this weekend he’s open to a move in January, which is hardly surprising given his class and how much West Ham are underperforming this season, but potentially losing the Frenchman would be a massive blow.
Payet has proven to be a big hit for the Hammers since arriving from Marseille in the summer of 2015 and he’s one of the finest players in the Premier League, with it clear that Slaven Bilic’s side are lucky to have him amongst their ranks.
West Ham’s squad would be weakened significantly if Payet were to lose but no player is irreplaceable and the club are an intriguing project to any player, as they can offer the chance to live in London and play for a side that is on the rise.
