Competition: Ligue 1 Date: Friday 21st October 2016 Venue: Stade Louis II Kick-Off: 19:45 BST
Monaco have two definite absentees in Nabil Dirar and Almamy Traore, whilst Radamel Falcao and Joao Moutinho are rated as doubts.
The latter may start on the bench but Falcao is expected to be rested completely.
Montpellier are without injured duo Daniel Congre and Casimir Ninga, whilst Steve Mounie is suspended.
Monaco won’t be happy with the results in their first week back from the international break, after losing 3-1 to high-flying Toulouse last weekend and being held to a 1-1 draw against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League. With the gap between them and league leaders OGC Nice extending to four points, Monaco need a result here to keep pace.
Montpellier, meanwhile, will be high on spirits after a victory last weekend for the first time since the opening day of the Ligue 1 campaign. The absence of Steve Mounié will be felt in attack though, which limits the threat the visitors can offer in Friday night’s clash.
Having conceded 12 goals on the road already this season, Monaco are favourites to emerge victorious despite fitness concerns. Montpellier’s side is also weaker, which makes the task for Frédéric Hantz’s men all the more difficult.
