Another week has passed by in Ligue 1, and after a few blips in the road, the big boys have picked up steam with PSG and Monaco both picking up emphatic victories to assert themselves into the Ligue 1 title race at the early stage.
But who out of the whole Ligue 1 performed the best this week? Who was the shinning star of this week of fixtures, and who set the league alight with a wonderful performance? Let’s find out!
T. Didillon- Metz- 8.7
T. Meunier- PSG- 9.1
L. Perrin- St. Etienne- 8.2
T. Hubocan- Marseille- 7.7

L. Moura- PSG- 9.7

As you can clearly see, Paris Saint-Germain were the top side this week, with L’Equipe also naming them as the team of the week due to their destructive 6-0 away victory against Caen on Friday night.
The standout performer of the game was by far and away Edinson Cavani, who bagged 4 goals in what was a harrowing week for the Uruguayan after his poor showing in the Champions League against Arsenal.
Lucas Moura and Thomas Meunier also put in some outstanding performances, with the Brazilian getting a 9.7 rating this week. Along with Belgian Meunier, Maxwell filled in for the rested Layvin Kurzawa with a solid performance at left back.
Monaco duo Joao Moutinho and Thomas Lemar picked up from where they left off on Wednesday evening against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League as they helped Monaco to a very convincing 3-0 home win against Rennes.
The two clear best teams in the league so far this season showed their class this weekend, and if this round of Ligue 1 fixtures is anything to go by, we could be in for a tight title race.
