Borussia Monchengladbach forwards Ibrahima Traore, Andre Hahn and Thorgan Hazard are pushing for starts.
Raffael will lead the line up front.
For Werder Bremen Fin Bartels and Luca Caldirola are missing through injury. New signing max Kruse and veteran Claudio Pizarro are also injured leaving Bremen short in attacking options.
Zlatko Junuzovic will support Aron Johannsson up front.
After suffering a 4-0 defeat in the Champions League on Tuesday night to Manchester City, Monchengladbach will hope to bounce back quickly against bottom side Bremen on Saturday tea-time.
The Foals have started brightly this year but were undone by a Freiburg fightback last week to lose 3-1 to the league newcomers. Fast attractive football is all when and good for Monchengladbach but they must defend better if they are to succeed this season.
Bremen have lost both their games so far and have conceded eight already, albeit six of those goals were away at champions Bayern Munich. Their problem lies up front with very few option until Kruse and Pizarro regain full fitness. New signing from Arsenal, Serge Gnabry may help on the left side of midfield.
Expect this one to be close but Monchengladbach should have enough to edge out Bremen who desperately need to pick up a point from somewhere.
Both teams have won three games of the last six meetings.
Monchengladbach have won their last eight home games in the Bundesliga.
While Bremen have not won any of their last five away.
